Introducing Sloane mat in Midnight: A Deep Blue for the Floor
The Sloane family has a new color. Midnight is the deepest blue in the Sloane line so far, a hand-drawn crosshatch over a soft ground with the texture of woven linen. It is rich and quiet, the kind of dark color that anchors a room without weighing it down.
It is now available in all three Sloane sizes.
About the Color
Midnight reads as a deep, near-navy blue with subtle warmth pulled from the linen-textured ground beneath the pattern. The crosshatch is the same hand-drawn line that runs through the rest of the Sloane family in dust, forest, and navy, scaled for this darker palette. In a room with warm wood floors or a neutral sofa, it sits as a defined anchor. In a room with paler neutrals, it adds depth without competing.
The color was developed for customers who have asked for something more saturated than navy and quieter than black. Midnight fills that space.
Where Midnight Lives Well
Darker colors work well in rooms with a lot of natural light, in spaces where the surrounding furniture is neutral or warm, and in places where you want the floor to feel grounded rather than airy. A midnight mat works particularly well as a contrast to oak or walnut hardwood, alongside cream or oat linen, and in rooms where the rest of the palette is intentionally restrained.
For darker rooms or smaller spaces, the lighter colors in the Sloane family (Dust, Forest, Navy) tend to read better. Midnight is designed for the rooms that can carry it.

The Print and the Materials
The Midnight print is made with Greenguard Gold certified inks, which is part of why the deep blue holds its saturation across years of daily use rather than fading. Single-piece construction across the Oversized 5x7 and 6x9 means there are no tile lines or seams to interrupt the pattern. The Studio Mat shares the same printed surface in a rollable format.
